On behalf of nearly 120 Mother Members in the South Charlotte Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., it is my honor and delight to welcome you to our website.  As a nationally recognized Five Star Chapter, we embrace our chapter’s vision of Fostering Families, Friendships, Futures and Faith with a Foundation of Excellence. We continuously strive to provide wonderful family experiences as we intentionally focus on our National Thrusts to cultivate and enhance leadership in all children as we provide children with constructive, financial, educational, cultural, civic, health, recreational, legislative, community service and social programs throughout each year. As a group of dedicated families we live the National Motto everyday, “Let’s work, Let’s play, Let’s live together” the Jack and Jill Way!

Jack and Jill of America, Inc., is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 – 19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.

The late Marion Stubbs Thomas founded Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, on January 24, 1938, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Twenty mothers came together to discuss creating an organization to provide social, cultural and educational opportunities for youth between the ages of 2 and 19. In 1946, 10 chapters were involved in the national restructuring process. The constitution and bylaws were drawn up, and the organization was incorporated under the laws of the state of Delaware. Today, Jack and Jill boasts more than 230 chapters nationwide, representing more than 40,000 family members.

Thank you for your interest in Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and the South Charlotte Chapter of the Mid-Atlantic Region!

Long Live Jack & Jill,
Yolanda Lindsay
South Charlotte President
